Documentation follows the current system language. Missing translations fall back to the page's canonical language.

Study Setup And Configuration

Set up the assessment from the Learning Organization workbench. The workbench has five main tabs: Overview, Participants, Settings, Results, and Instrument.

Recommended study setup sequence

Availability Window

Use Settings to define when respondents can work on the survey:

  • Starting date: no one can begin before this date and time.
  • Due date: target completion date shown to respondents.
  • Until date: final cutoff date for accepting responses.
  • Late submissions: determines whether responses after the due date but before the until date are accepted.

This follows a Canvas-style distinction: due date communicates expectation; until date controls final access.

Language Availability

The study has a default language and a list of enabled languages. The administrator can decide whether respondents can change language in the survey. If language change is disabled, the survey uses the participant language override when present, otherwise the study default.

Default translations are included for the tool. Use Translation Review only to review wording or apply organization-specific terminology.

Division Structure

Each participant belongs to exactly one division path. Divisions can be nested recursively, for example:

Parent Division
Design
Construction
Construction Project 1
Construction Project 2
Administration

The hierarchy is used for results. A parent division includes participants assigned to its child divisions.

Division CSV Import

Use a CSV with columns Parent and Division. Parent can be blank for a top-level division. Parent paths can use slash, greater-than, pipe, or dot separators.

Validation rules:

  • Division is required.
  • A parent path must appear earlier in the CSV.
  • Duplicate division paths are rejected.
  • The preview modal shows rows and errors before anything is applied.

Participant CSV Import

Use a CSV with columns Name, Email, Position, Division, and optional Language. The importer also accepts Job Position, Title, Company, Company Name, Full Name, and Locale aliases.

Validation rules:

  • Name, Email, and Division are required.
  • Email must look like an email address.
  • Language is optional, but if provided it must be enabled for the study.
  • Division paths can use slash, greater-than, pipe, or dot separators.
  • Missing division paths are added to the division tree during participant import.
  • The preview modal must be valid before import can be confirmed.

AI Advice Settings

Set a minimum completed-response count for aggregated AI advice. Keep this high enough to protect confidentiality in small divisions. Individual advice is disabled by default and is blocked for anonymous studies.
