Report, Findings, And Export

The Report module converts profiling outputs into a draft that can be reviewed by a decision team.

Report Sections

The report contains:

  • executive summary
  • editable findings
  • editable recommendations
  • analysis signals with severity
  • next analyses
  • optional data story sections with charts
  • closing takeaway when available

Analysis Signals

Signals are concise observations generated from the profile. They can be informational, medium severity, or high severity. High severity signals usually deserve review before the dataset is used in a decision.

Common signal categories include:

  • high missingness
  • duplicate concentration
  • possible outliers
  • high-cardinality categories
  • identifiers or near-identifiers
  • sparse or constant columns
  • columns that may require normalization

Editing The Report

Treat the report as a draft. The team should revise executive summary, findings, and recommendations so they reflect business context, not only automated observations.

Good findings are specific:

  • name the affected column or group of columns
  • state the observed metric
  • explain why it matters for the decision
  • identify uncertainty or required follow-up

Good recommendations are actionable:

  • clean, exclude, validate, enrich, collect, segment, or escalate
  • name an owner when possible
  • state what evidence will confirm completion

Export Status

The workbench includes an export control. In draft deployments, PDF export may depend on the report renderer connection for that environment. Even before final PDF rendering, the report content should be curated and saved in the model version.

Versioned Evidence

When the profile informs another model or decision, save a new version with a clear summary. This preserves the exact profile, chart edits, report text, and recommendations used at that decision point.
